Carthage is located in North Africa. It is near the city of Zama. Carthage ruled an area under Spain. Rome and Carthage were fighting in the Punic Wars against each other for land, like Sicily. They had harsh battles. Their greatest general was Hamilcar Barca. He made his three sons swear to never give up the struggle with Rome.
